parlez-vous anglais?

so autumn is officially upon us, and what better way to numb the pain of cold weather, dark evenings and rain than some retail therapy. i present you with my autumn wants:

(new look, zara, topshop, miss selfridge, river island)

aren't they just lovely? i think a spot of shopping is in order, although unfortunately we do not have a zara in the abismal area of northampton... we are not priveledged enough, so i think i'll have to wait for a trip to nearby milton keynes til i can splash out. I need very warm clothes for Germany as it'll get cold there, but don't you all love wrapping up warm? i certainly do!

I move to Germany in 15 days! I'm getting very excited but very nervous too. I'm not looking forward to leaving my boyfriend and not seeing my family for two months at a time! Skype is looking the way forward, but i'm abit rusty! Any skype tips?

german railcards and checkered shorts.

vintage cardigan, topshop vest, george shorts, vintage belt, miss selfridge tights

Today has been a real boring day for me, most of my friends work on Sundays and Mum and Dad usually go off on some day out or another. So i've taken the opportunity to try and get some things done for moving away. I've been up in the loft and brought down the biggest suitcase I can find, and am going to start packing it soon. I have a 25kg weight limit... thats all well and good... but i'm tiny and i doubt i'll even be able to lift it! Blahh, we'll have to see. On the subject of moving abroad... this came for me yesterday, how exciting! It is a bahncard, and entitles you to 25% off rail travel in Germany, kind of like a 16-25 railcard in the UK. Where i'm moving to doesnt have an airport and the nearest one is an hour away on the train :( so i'll be taking the german trains alot! Have you visited Germany? If so comment with whereabouts, i'm dying for places to visit whilst i'm out there :) happy sunday everyone :)

yes please

so i'm a typical girl who loves to paint her nails, but i am yet to find a colour that i actually love on myself. i'm always drawn to pink, silly i know, but i can't help it. I have extremely little pale hands and struggle to find a shade to suit me. i'm keen to try out a french manicure chic, but i don't have the patience to try and paint a straight(ish) white line on my nails! does anyone else agree? its just hardwork!! BUT, i came across these lovelies on whilst surfing the internet:
YSL French Manicure pens. What could be simpler? Has anyone ever used these before? I have added these to my student-loan wishlist, and at £23 they shouldn't put in much of a dent. Roll on student-loan day. Has anyone else got any french manicure tips?

well hello

Excuse the poor webcam quality, but this is me, and I am Kerrie. I'm 20 years old and I'm a student from the UK. I decided I wanted to blog about a month ago, so I set up this account and then had alot of stuff to do... so this kind of got postponed. So here I am.

A bit about me... I study languages at university, and am about start my third year, which is actually on placement abroad. I will be moving to Freiburg, Germany on October 1st, and then over to Aix-en-Provence, France later on next year, around February time. I love fashion, clothes, shoes and anything related, I also really enjoy photography, appreciating it not taking it, and odd quirky things, i'm sure you'll see. So please feel free to comment and introduce yourselves, i could really do with some friends on the bloggosphere :)
